KCC clinch MNCA Superplate Tournament title

Imphal, December 16 2023:
KCC (Kongba) overpowered MPSC (Lambulane) by 9 wickets to win the 3rd MNCA Superplate Tournament 2023-24 at Public Ground Khangabok Part-Ill, Cherapur on Saturday.
The Kongba side put up a strong bowling performance to bowl out MPSC for 71 in 25 overs after the latter chose to bat.
Arbin led the attack with 3 scalps as Sheiteendra did his bit with 2 wickets, and Somorjit, Basantakumar and Singthoi each took one wicket to lay the foundation for KCC's victory.
KCC then needed 9.4 overs to complete the chase for their comprehensive win on their way to the title.
In the chase, Mranjit hit an unbeaten 39 off 26 balls and Arbin was not out on 31 off 27 balls.
KCC lost just one wicket in their chase.
Rohen (4) was dismissed by Shangker.
Courtesy of their title triumph, KCC pocketed Rs 1,50,000 in prize money while MPSC received Rs 1,00,000 .
Winners of the individual prizes were MPSC's Gelson Singh Thoudam (man of the series & highest run-scorer), KCC's Moirangthem Rohen (highest run-scorer), MPSC's Sheiteendra (highest wicket-taker), and KKC's Arbin Singh (man of the final match) .
