Imphal, April 27 2024:
Assam Rifles evacuated one individual named Nekheite (23) of Shalluk, who was bitten by a poisonous snake to a medical facility at its Shalluk location on Friday.
The victim had complained of multiple episodes of vomit, giddiness and swelling over his right lower limb, as well as active haemorrhage.
The Assam Rifles medical team treated the snake-bite victim with anti-snake venom and supportive treatment and after the condition of the patient stabilised, he was further referred to a centre with better medical care facilities, an IGAR (S) release said.
