Imphal, October 31 2020: An awareness cum training programme was held at the Gulartho community hall yesterday with an emphasis on creating awareness on the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was held under the aegis of the State Government.

Dr E Okendro Singh,CMO, Jiribam who was the chief guest spoke about ways to prevent contracting the deadly disease.

Resource persons present also spoke about how human activities have negatively impacted the environment.

Members of the Indian Red Cross were also present and threw light about cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid.

Additionally SRDF put up a demo and taught the audience about how to react when a fire breaks out.
