Awareness programme on environment held

Chandel, April 21 2019: One day awareness programme on environment was held jointly at Heinoukhong & Thamlai village in Chandel District.

The chiefs of the two villages - DK Modarsim of the Thamlai village and DK Modar of Heinoukhong village - and N Munal Meitei, Range Forest Officer attended the programme.

Speaking at the occasion, N Munal Meitei said that it is the duty of the public to protect the environment for the future generations.

After the awareness camp, the villagers of the two villages resolved to protect and conserve forest areas of the village by developing a good eco-tourism park in the State.
