Imphal, August 28:
The Comprehensive Health Services and Research Centre (CHSRC) in collaboration with Operation Blessing India (OBI) and Christian Broadcasting Network organised a six day free medical camp in different parts of Ukhrul district from August 20 to 25.In a statement, the Director of CHSRC Dr Nelson Vashum said that the 17 Assam Rifles assisted the team at Kachai village by deputing a doctor and an ambulance.
The medical camps included general health check up, refraction and six surgeries conducted by Dr RK Victor, Opthalmologist of Imphal Hospital.
In all 880 patients were treated and free spectacles would be provided to 541 patients, added Dr Nelson.
The medicines and spectacles are provided by OBI, Hyderabad.
