An amount of Rs 30,000 each have been demanded from all the A grade shops, Rs 20,000 each from the B grade shops and Rs 10,000 each from the C grade shops.
However, it was not specified whether the demand is for one year, one month or for one time payment.
The demand had been served to six/seven selected shops located on the northern side of the road four days back.
While serving the demand, the outfit had also reportedly mentioned that it is being done under a project of collecting money from all the shops located in between Keishampat and Kwakeithel.
