Imphal, January 17 2010:
NREGS job-card holders of Lembakhul village, Saikul Block, Senapati district have not been paid their wages for the last two years.
Even as photographs were taken and job-cards prepared in the early part of 2008, the job-card holders received only Rs 1400 each during the last two years, conveyed a press release.
The job-card holders approached village chairman C Atmos, secretary MS Shimgreingam and VMC CT Areng repeatedly on the matter of non-payment of wages, the village leaders paid no attention.
The SDO Saikul also dismissed the villagers as they complained about the same matter.
It further appealed to the authority concerned to look into matter and redress grievances of the job-card holders.
