Random singing of songs would be generalised with the barking of dogs, felt president of Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Dr N Tombi.
Attending the one-day seminar of Manipuri modern song organised by the Apunba Matam Ishei Kanglup (AMIK) at the Manipur Press Club hall here as the chief guest, Dr N Tombi said, the positive side of the Manipuri modern songs should be absorbed.
Saying that the demise of several modern song writers and singers is causing a vacuum in the music scenario of the state, he appealed today's song writers and singers to be more adept and exert more creativity in their profession.
He also urged the government to acknowledge the achievement of song writers and singers in order to encourage their profession as is done in many other fields like sports and art and culture.

RK Bidur moderated the morning session of the seminar.
