Student Unions call for government intervention

The Students' Union of DM College of Commerce and GP Women's College today expressed that the observance of "Half Day Chalk Down" by the All Manipur College Teachers' Association for its demands against the government will pose a serious threat to the career of its students on the verge of the upcoming Semester exams which have been announced to be held from December 4, said a release from the union.
These student groups demanded that this altercation between the Government and the teachers' association must be resolved at the earliest so that the syllabus under the guidelines may be covered up before this exams, stated the release.
Later, the union suggested that the government must act upon the demands of AMCTA to resolve the matter at the earliest, added the release.
