Dimapur, November 28 2014 :
At least for now it is the time of burying the hatchet.
The differences among the legislators and party leaders of the Naga Peoples' Front (NPF) appeared to have been ironed out.
The party general convention in Kohima on Wendesday adopted a five-point resolution and one of them states that the convention fully supports to the leadership of chief minister TR Zeliang and NPF president Shrhozelie Liezietsu.
The resolution committee convenor Yitachu read out the resolutions and the gathering adopted by raising their hands at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima on Wednesday.
Until few days ago no one could imagine that it would be possible for the NPF legislators to be in the present form this soon.
The Wednesday event showed things are fine in the NPF set up under the leadership of TR Zeliang and Shrhozelie Liezietsu.
However, political observers feel the under current politicking is very much there among the NPF legislators for the change of guards in the government.
Since Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to have his maiden visit (after becoming PM) to the state which is just less than a week away the NPF legislators and other party leaders feel washing dirty linen in public would be improper at this juncture.
Political pandemonium in the state or for that matter, infighting in the NPF led DAN-III can send a wrong signal to the world at this moment when the former is often seen with the begging bowl at 7, Race Course Road, Delhi.
Knowing they cannot afford to miss the train this time the NPF legislators are holding their emotion for the time being.
One important demand of the state government from the Centre has been to bail out the state from the serious financial crunch it is experiencing.
In the event of the TR Zeliang's government failing to impress Narendra Modi the festivities in the state can be ruined.
Certain sections of the government employees are already taking their ire to the street demanding the release of their pending salaries of several months.
It is highly expected that when Natendra Modi graces The Hornbill Festival on December 1 in Kohima packages for Nagaland will be announced.
One among them is the financial aid.
