Imphal, December 17 2010:
The Council of Teachers' Association (COTA) and the All India Primary Teachers' Federation (AIPTF) submitted a memorandum to the Union Human Resource and Development Minister, Kapil Sibal pressing him to direct the state government and Education Department of Manipur to approve the 6th Central Pay in toto for the teachers in the state.
According to a press release of COTA, AIPTF also press the state government to give the demand of the striking teachers.
It may be reminded that the relay hunger strike of COTA has entered 12 days tomorrow.
