Imphal, June 10 2010:
Manipuri Apunba Lup, Karbi Anglong has expressed gratitude to each and every organisation and individual who extended co-operation in making the 36-hour blockade on National Highways 36 and 39 .
A press release issued by its Convenor Thingnam Chandra Kumar said that it was encouraging to see that volunteers enforcing the blockade were not only Manipuris but Karbis, Kukis, Assamese, tea tribes, Dimasas, Bengalis and Nepalis.
The Lup said that the Central Government must be ashamed that it is unable to take up measure lo lift ongoing blockades along NH-53 and 39 .
