Imphal, June 10 2010:
The Election Agent of the INC candidate for 9 Purum DCC, Chandel has urged the State Election Commission to countermand the election in the said DCC on various grounds.
In a statement, the INC agent said that due to booth capturing not a single vote was cast in respect of 9/3 and 9/4 polling stations of the said DCC.
The voters of the two polling stations, numbering 625 and 681 were barred from casting their votes by a hill based armed group armed group, alleged the statement and added that the total voters of the two said polling stations constitute 50 pc of the voters of the said DCC.
In such a case, the voting held at the two polling stations should be declared null and void, it added.
