MoU for implementation of AB-PMJAY signed

Imphal, September 28 2020: An MoU for the implementation of Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was signed between Shija Eye Care Foundation, State Health Agency, Government of India and Medi Assist Insurance TPA Pvt Ltd on September 23, informed a press release issued by Shija Hospitals and Research Institute Pvt Ltd.

With the signing of the said MOU, beneficiaries of AB-PMJAY can avail the advanced eye care service of Shija Eye Care Foundation.

The signed MOU was handed to Ch Dhananjoy, Sr Advocate, Manipur High Court and secy of Shija Foundation, in a function organized today at the office of the Deputy Commissioner Imphal West, on the occasion of 2nd anniversary of AB-PMJAY.

Laishram Gunachandra Singh, Arogya Mitra of Shija Hospitals was awarded as the 'Best Arogya Mitra from Private Hospital' category for reliable and consistent service and support at Shija Hospital desk-help.

He was given a certificate and a cash award of Rs 5000.Shija Eye Care Foundation has 6 full time specialists, supported by more than 50 staff.

It is mentored by LAICO and Aravind Eye Care Systems, Madurai.

The facilities of this eye care foundation are glaucoma, cornea, diabetic retinopathy, cataract, pediatric opthalmology and squint, oculoplasty, ptosis, entropion, ectropion, orbototomy, community opthalmology, etc.

The signing of the MOU will greatly benefit the beneficiaries of AB-PMJAY card holders to undergo various eye treatments.
