AMMIK begins interaction programme

With an aim to address anxieties and troubles faced by people who have been displaced by the present conflict and are taking refuge in relief camps, All Manipur Matam Ishei Kanglup (AMMIK) on Monday began 'Pukning Wakhal Leitarashi', an interaction programme with internally displaced people at three relief camps in Kakching district.
Held in connection with its 46th foundation day, AMMIK Kakching Centre began the interaction programme at the Kalyan Ashram relief camp.
The interaction programme was also held at old age home relief camp located at Kakching Panjao Pallum and Langmeidong Higher Secondary School.
The inaugural function of the interaction programme held at Kalyan Ashram was attended by AMMIK president Khaidem Thoiba and its Kakching Centre vice president Yengkhom Nilachandra as presidium members.
Indian Medical Association Manipur State Branch president and RIMS psychiatry department professor Dr RK Lenin and social scientist Dr Dhanabir Laishram spoke as resource persons during the interaction programme as singers of AMMIK interacted the inmates of the relief camp and performed several songs.
