RCA, MPA, ESU cruise to third straight victories in N Rajningthou Memorial Trophy

RCA-Lilong Tairen Makhong, MPA-Thounaojam and ESU-Wangkhei Palace Compound all eased to third straight victories in the ongoing 4th MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy 2023-24 .
At Public Ground Khangabok Part III, RCA notched up a 9 wicket win after bowling out YWC-L who won the toss and opted to bat first, for 83 runs in 32.1 overs in a Group A clash.
Nawas (3/7), Zunad (2/19) and Naish (2/20) of YWC set up the YWC-L collapse with ease despite Kumar (17) and Rahis (18) making the effort.

The RCA innings was curtailed at 31 overs with a new target of 73 runs via VJD method and the team rode on Md Anush's 31-ball 45 and Md Safwan's 11 to ease to the victory in just 9.3 overs losing only one wicket.
Nawas Sharif of RCA who led the bowling attack was adjudged man of the match.
In the meantime, red hot MPA boys sealed a 22-run victory over TRAU-Kwakeithel for the third straight Group A victory at Model Hr Sec School and Oriental College ground.
MPA were bundled out for 98 runs in 32.4 overs after electing to first.
They however put in a concerted bowling effort to restrict TRAU to 76 in 34.1 overs.
Ch Albish (19), Th Chinglensana (11), E Lucky (10) and Th Rojit (10) were main run getters for MPA in their inningsw that saw TRAU bowlers A Preetson (4/8 in 7 overs) and M Swabhiman (3/9 in 7 overs) run riot.
MPA bowlers Th Chinglensana (3/11), Ch Priyokumar (3/17) and E Rohit (2/10) were equal to the task and eventually prevailed over TRAU whose L Ganguly (15), Md Ruhid (10) and Ritik Kumar Rajak (10*) made double digit scores.
Chinglensana of MPA who produced an allround performance was adjudged man of the match.
In a rain-curtailed Group B match at Lairenjam Public Ground, U Rain scored an unbeaten 61 off 40 deliveries to guide TCMDC to a 6 wicket win over YUCC-Kwakeithel Moirangpurel Leikai.
YUCC were all out for 128 runs after electing to bat first.
Bidyashor scored a 56-ball 68 in the innings while Jamesbond added an unbeaten 16 before Rain (3/18), Moramba (2/22), Thomsan (2/7) and Prakash (2/19) cut short the innings at 32.2 overs.
With rain affecting the latter part of the innings, the match was reduced to 30 overs via VJD method and TCMDC were given a target of 124 runs.
Thomsan (23) and Rain (61*) then steered the team to winning 127 within 22 overs.
Rain was eventually adjudged man of the match.
In another Group B match, Simesh claimed 6 wickets to devastate YPHUC-Lalambung Makhong and hand ESU a convincing 226 run victory at Kongba Dhobi Lampak.
ESU, put in to bat first, took on the YPHUC batters with ease and racked up a huge total of 272 runs for 2 wickets in 33 overs thanks to unbeaten half centuries from Venues (88 off 75 balls) and Naoba (72 off 38 balls) after Abhinash added a significant 46.In reply, YPHUC batters departed cheaply in quick successions and slumped at 46 all out in 14.5 overs as Simesh (6/26 in 7 overs), Bishomcha (2/7) and Donba (2/12) wreaked havoc.
Simesh was eventually adjudged man of the match.
