Distribution of relief materials continues

Imphal, October 23 2023:
In continuation of its ongoing relief work for the internally displaced people (IDP) in Manipur, the Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal, distributed more than 2800 winter blankets, 1077 health & hygiene kits, mothers' horlicks for nursing & expectant mothers, infant milk, stationeries, etc worth more than Rs 17 Lakh to 26 relief camps in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal and Bishnupur Districts.
According to a release issued by Ramakrishna Mission, the relief work benefited more than 4700 people from 1336 affected families.

The relief materials were distributed between October 15 to 21, 2023, at the relief camps set up in Sendra, Thanga, Keibul Lamjao, Moirang, Kumbi, Ithai & Wangoo areas in Bishnupur district; Kodompokpi, Lamding & Khangabok in Thoubal district; Lamlai, Sajiwa & Khuman Lampak in Imphal East district; and Sagoltongba in Imphal West district.
Also, to encourage the students & children staying at the Shanthong Awang Relief Camp, students of Ramakrishna Mission GAP Project & Ramakrishna Mission Free Coaching Centre, Ninghthoukhong, visited the camp on October 22 and played friendly football matches with them.
A special feast was also arranged for the camp inmates on the occasion.
4 bicycles were also presented to selected students from the camp.
Moreover, the International Association of Lions, District 322D, has distributed relief materials to the IDP taking shelter at three relief camps in Bishnupur district on Monday under the "Project of LCIF India for Manipur Crisis Relief" .
W Gopimohon Singh, immediate past District Governor, M Gojendra Singh, past District Governor, H Manikumar Singh and Th Kesho Singh, first Governor along with Lion leaders & members of Mainpur took part in the event, said a release issued by International Association of Lions.
Relief materials including blankets, packaged drinking water, rice, sanitary pads, pulses, potatoes & toilet soaps were provided to about 600 IDPs taking shelter at the relief camp opened in Oinam High School, SC Hostel Leimaram and Leimaram High School.
