Imphal, December 23 2023: Assam Rifles of IG-AR(S) rescued a Bolero vehicle that accidentally fell into a 200-metre deep ditch due to brake failure near Shangshak-Finch corner on Thursday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that AR received a request for assistance from Shangshak Police and the village headman following the accident.

In a rapid response, a recovery team comprising four soldiers was dispatched to the scene, where they promptly initiated recovery operations, it added.

The release further conveyed that AR on Friday provided emergency medical assistance to a 5-year-old child of Lunchung village at Aina village, Churachandpur district, who had suffered injuries after accidentally slipping from a moving motorcycle.

The child was brought to the AR unit hospital at Aina village by his father around 8 am.

The medical team provided necessary first aid and medication, ensuring prompt and effective care for the injured child, it mentioned.
