Imphal, May 20 2024: In a swift response to a distress call on Sunday, medical personnel of Assam Rifles provided critical aid to two children who suffered burn injuries at Khoripok Relief Camp in Kangpokpi district.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the incident occurred around 5:10 pm Sunday when Lalmingsang (7) and Jangjemgun (2.5) were scalded by boiling water while playing.

The medical team promptly evacuated the children, assessed their condition and initiated critical aid measures.

The team administered medications to alleviate discomfort and provided comprehensive care to mitigate any potential complications, it added.

The release conveyed that the children were admitted to the .unit hospital for strict observation.
