Baby food distributed, Book donation campaign begins

All India Professional Congress (AIPC) in collaboration with Ma nipur Pradesh Congress Committee distributed baby foods to four relief camps in Churachandpur district on Wednesday through the Churachandpur District Congress Committee.
The food materials were provided for 200-plus breastfeeding babies in relief centres opened at Vimala Government High School, EL Cism, DIET and DonBosco.
On the other-hand, Star Education in collaboration with Ukiyo Bookstore, Books & Coffee and The Readers Book Store launched a book donation campaign themed 'Little Libraries Book Campaign' .
In a release, Star Education informed that the campaign was launched to help set up libraries at government schools under the Star Education programme but will now include donation drive to assist the children affected by the ethnic violence continue education.
It also urged all sections of the society donate any kind of books which will help children in learning vari ous skills and knowledge including story books, activity books or puzzles and stationery items.
The donation may be made to Ukiyo Bookstore Keishampat, Books & Coffee Yumnam Leikai, The Readers Book Store Heijigang Keithel Canchipur and Star Education Office located at 2nd floor Classico Bistro Building near Porompat TV tower, it added.
The donations will be collected and delivered to the relief camps covered by Star Education Relief Outreach, the release continued, while appealing to contact Star Education communication director Tinky Ningombam (9811577204) and communication officer Nikita Lai-pubam (7005024920) .
