MLAs distribute relief items; medical camps conducted

Wangoi MLA Kh Loken and Mayang Imphal MLA K Robin-dro assured to convey grievances of the displaced people of Sugnu to the chief minister in order to resolve the tense situation grip-ping Sugnu at the earliest.
While interacting with the ri-ot-affected people taking refuge in relief camps during their visit to provide relief materials on Thurs-day, the two MLAs also assured to do the needful to resolve the crisis and prevent similar inci-dents in future.
The displaced people alleged that Assam Rifles along with Kuki militants carried out the attack on Sugnu residents, and urged the MLAs to take up measures to retrieve the bodies lying still in Sugnu area, which is still occupied by Kuki militants.
Meanwhile, Moreh sub-divi-sional hospital and District Health Society, Tengnoupal on Friday organised medical camps at relief camps set up in Wangjing area of Thoubal district where Meitei res-idents of Moreh are taking refuge.
The camps were conducted at Kodompokpi Sports Complex, SK Leikai community hall, Lamding High School and Pioneer Club, Wangjing Awang Leikai.
Apart from health check-up of the inmates, the medical team led by sub divisional hospital Moreh MO in-charge Dr Cecil along with staffers of District Health Society also provided medicines free of cost and donated a sum of Rs 15,000 each to the four relief camps.
