AR holds interaction meet, saves elderly woman

Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) organised "A Day with Company Commander" at Company Operating Base of Nampisha, Kamjong district which had the participation of 25 villagers and students from Meiti, Ningchou, Grihang and Nampisha villages.
A series of games and activities for the children were also conducted as a part of the interaction programme which culminated with the company commander motivating and counselling the youngsters about the various entries to join the security forces.
Meanwhile, medical team of Assam Rifles of IGAR (South) reportedly extended lifesaving medical assistance to a snake bite victim of Keibul Lamjao village, Bishnupur district on Sunday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), one Sanatombi (65 years) was bitten by snake on her right forearm on Sunday.
She had local swelling at the site of bite and was brought by her relatives to the Assam Rifles Medical Inspection Room.
The medical staff examined and immediately rendered essential medical care and stabilised her conditioh.
Presently she is on the road to recovery, informed the PRO.
