Army conducts medical camp for IDPs

Imphal, June 11 2024:
Indian Army organised a medical camp at the Lamlai relief camp under the theme "Wellness Begins at Home" with the objective of providing essential healthcare services to local residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs), ensuring access to quality medical care.
The camp witnessed an overwhelming turnout including 386 women, 163 children, and 307 elderly individuals.
The camp featured contributions from civilian doctors, including specialists from PHC Heingang, PHC Sawombung, and CHC Sagolmang, who joined the army's medical team to conduct health check-ups, ECG screenings, dental examinations, and professional consultations.
Essential medicines and digital medical equipment, such as thermometers, glucometers, and blood pressure machines, were distributed to attendees.
To accommodate the elderly, Indian Army provided transportation services using army buses, ensuring easy access for those with mobility issues.
