Body clarifies location of People's Store

Imphal, May 20 2024: Lamphel Sanakeithel Development Authority has clarified that the People's Store, which came under attack on Sunday evening causing injury to the owner, is located at Thangmeiband Khomdram Selungba Leikai and not Lamphel Sanakeithel as mentioned in news reports published in local dailies.

Development Authority president Mangoljao Sam-jetsabam told media persons at Manipur Press Club, here, on Monday that the firing incident occurred around 300 metres from Lamphel Sanakeithel and the People's Store is located under the jurisdiction of Thangmeiband Khomdram Selungba Leikai.

He also pointed out that Lamphel Sanakeithel falls under Uripok AC and two areas are different.

Functionaries of Sanakeithel Nupi Kanglup also attended the press conference and appealed to store owners to rightly mention address on their sign boards.
