IMPHAL: Assam Rifles organised a career and guidance awareness session to help students explore career options in the Assam Rifles, Indian Army, and Railway Recruitment Board Selection.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the programme was conducted in Singhat, where students often struggle to access timely and reliable information about career opportunities, particularly in defence and public service.
The programme attended by 75 eager students, aimed to create awareness on available career paths that are often overlooked due to the remoteness of the region and lack of resources.
Students were equipped with flyers and brochures to serve as quick references, bridging the infermation gap in their communities.
The session culminated with an interactive Q&A session, where students actively engaged with officials, further solidifying the role of Assam Rifles in promoting knowledge and opening avenues in far flung areas, said the PRO.
Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing Fit India movement initiative, Assam Rifles distributed footballs, goal posts, nets, boots, shin guards, jerseys, and shorts during an event held on Thursday at Youngoubung village.
