Row over Dzuko Valley ; State BJP team gears up to take case to Delhi

Taking serious note of the growing tension between Mao people and Southern Angami people of Nagaland which is rooted in the dispute over Dzuko valley, a team of BJP Manipur Pradesh would be leaving for Delhi soon.
Speaking to media persons at their Nityaipat Chuthek office here today, BJP Mani-pur Pradesh president Th Chaoba said that a team including himself would go to Delhi and urge the Prime Minister and the Union Home Minister to solve the border row amicably without any further delay.
The team would urge central leaders to give strict ins- tructions to the Government of Nagaland in order to resolve the issue and avoid unwanted confrontations.
Commenting on the recent ADC election, Chaoba said that they analysed the election results from every perspectives.
The review meeting which was attended by BJP Tamenglong district president, mandal presidents, defeated candidates and public leaders agreed to open a party office at Tamenglong district headquarters in order to strengthen the party in the district.
Project proposals would be sent to relevant Union Ministries through NGOs and cooperative societies which would help expedite development of Tamenglong district, Chaoba said.
Claiming that BJP has taken roots in the hill districts of Manipur, he pointed out that Congress won just 46 seats this time as compared to 106 seats they won in the previous ADC election.
BJP has succeeded in keeping away Congress from retaining power in all ADCs except Sadar Hills.
The party has already started due preparations for the next Manipur Legislative Assembly election which is due in 2017, Chaoba informed.
BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary (administration) M Ashnikumar said that the people's verdict regarding the recent ADC election was satisfactory.
There would be substantive changes in the electoral politics of Manipur by 2017 .
General secretary (media affairs) L Basanta expressed keen desire for a constitutional head like the Governor or a High Court Judge to swear in the newly elected ADC Members.
