MNYO clears air on meeting with AT

Manipur Naga Youth Organisation (MNYO) has clarified that the informal meeting with officials from Arambai Tenggol, which went viral on social media and sparked widespread speculation, was nothing more than a courtesy visit.
The brief 30-minute meeting took place on Monday, and was focused on fostering peace and understanding between the Meetei and Naga communities in Imphal Valley.
In a statement, MNYO informed that during the cordial discussion, representatives from both MNYO and Arambai Tenggol addressed potential misunderstandings that could arise between the two communities given the current tensions in the state.
There was no hidden agenda or secret matters discussed during the meeting.
The primary objective of the meeting was to promote peace and harmony among different communities living in the Imphal valley area.
Both MNYO and Arambai Tenggol expressed confidence in their ability to help guide the situation towards a more peaceful and harmonious state for the people of Manipur.
The meeting underscored the importance of mutual respect in building a society where all communities can coexist peacefully.
MNYO, in particular, reiterated its commitment to working tirelessly to ensure that every community in Imphal and the surrounding valley areas can live and work freely, without fear or threats from any group, the statement added.
