Anish Ahmad continues solo Green Campaign

Climate activist Anish Ahmad continues to plant trees at different parts of Manipur under his Make India Green Campaign.
As a concerned citizen to make the nation carbon free, Anish launched his Campaign around 25 years back and has planted over 50,000 saplings of different varieties and distributed more than 4Q,000 tree saplings to public at free of cost as part of his environmental awareness movement.
He started planting trees since the days of his primary school with his father guiding him in all possible way to plant trees.
From harvesting tree seeds and making seedlings to raising private nursery, all expenses are from my own efforts but raising nursery at my home cannot afford even a green house and water tank, Anish Ahmad said adding that he spreads awareness, educate children in making saplings and local people on the value of safeguarding environment and climate change in Manipur.
According to Anish Ahmad, planting trees and nurturing are his routine work and passion carried out both in hill and valley areas of Manipur particularly at schools, public parks, community area and roadside.
On one hand, Anish Ahmad educate public on saving wildlife and minimising conflict between human and wildlife while on the other hand he conducts mass awareness on climate change across India.
Starting from Manipur, he conducted mass awareness on climate change in Tripura, Delhi and other places of India.
Several government agencies have acknowledged Anish Ahmad's activities with those appreciating his activities include Department of Forest, Government of New Delhi, chief minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma, former deputy CM of Manipur, principal chief conservator of forests, forest department, directorate of forest, environment and climate change, IG of Assam Rifles (South).
Anish Ahmad introduced a unique and effective method of mass tree plantation to regenerate forest known as 'Seed balls slingshot method'.
With slingshots seed balls can be dispersed in inaccessible areas and it turned out to be most cost effective methods of mass tree plantation.
Anish claims that he had dispersed more than one million seed balls with the unique method of mass tree plantation in hill areas of Manipur.
