RK Sanatomba award presented, Kangla Lanpung released

RK Sanatomba Memorial Trust presented its 21st RK Sanatomba memorial journalist award and also released its Kangla Lanpung Volume 15 Issue 1 on Sunday at Kombirei House located along Hijagang road, Konung Manung in Imphal East district.
This year's award was presented to Kharibam Yaiphaba Meitei, formerly at TOM TV but presently working at Sangai Express daily.
The award presented based on reports filed by Yaiphaba Meitei in the year 2023 on agricultural innovations carries Rs 25,000 cash and citation.
Kangla Lanpung Volume 15 Issue 1 released alongside the award presentation function contains articles of NIPGR research scholar Loitongbam Lorinda, Dr Atom Sunil Singh of Khongnangthaba University, JNU research scholar Chabungbam Babina and Priyanka Devi Kshetrimayum.
The award function was attended by RK Sanatomba's mother Mangi Shija, A Brajakumar Sharma and Leihaothabam Saratchandra Sharma as presidium members.
RK Sanatomba was born in the year 1963 as the youngest of nine children of Mangi Shija.
RK Sanatomba had deep interest in games and sports and even shouldered responsibility for the society as general secretary of Manipur National Federation.
He was also editor of Kangla Lanpung journal produced by Manipur National Federation and died in an unfortunate incident on June 30, 1993 .
After RK Sanatomba's demise, family members and well-wishers formed a trust in his name and present the RK Sianatomba memorial journalist award every year apart from re-producing Kangla Lanpung.
