National seminar on climate change ends

A two day national seminar on 'Climate Change Challenges (3C) and Sustainable Development', which was organised by Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal in association with its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at College's conference hall Concluded on Saturday.
The closing function of the seminar was attended by Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) vice chancellor professor N Rajmuhon Singh as chief guest and Waikhom Mani Girls' College principal professor H Manoranjan Sharma as president, while UGC-BSR faculty fellow & Manipur University (MU) School of Science ex-dean professor Pratap Yadava, Island Development Authority of India member secretary & Planning Commission of India former director Dr Uma Shanker and Government College of Art, Marcela, Goa principal professor Purnakala Vasant Samant were present as guests of honour.
As part of the programme, a report on the national seminar was released and mementoes presented to delegates attending the event.
Earlier, the third technical session of seminar was chaired by MU Department of Geography head professor Kh Pradipkumar with DMU Department of Environmental Science assistant professor Dr Naorem Sarita Devi speaking as resource person, while the fourth technical session was held under the chairmanship of Dr Uma Shanker with Thoubal College Department of Geography head professor Kh Jugindro Singh and MU Department of Education head professor K Shitaljit Singh as resource persons.
