Sagolsem Juge Foundation donated relief materials to the displaced people staying at Samurou Government High School relief camp and Iramsiphai Thamballeima High School relief camp on Saturday.
The relief materials were provided in connection with the 92nd birth anniversary of Sagolsem Juge and 18th death anniversary of his wife Sagolsem Keli.
S Juge's son and managing trustee of the foundation Sagolsem Achouba, who is also the former chairman of Manipur Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation, provided blankets, towels, buckets, mugs, snacks, as well as other materials contributed by different handloom societies such as Phanek, Khudei and towels to the two relief camps.
Interacting with the media on the occasion, S Achouba enquired the whereabouts of bodies of the two students, who were abducted and killed by armed Kukis and urged the government to recover their bodies.
He stressed the heed for concerted efforts to resolve the crisis and restore peace so that the displaced people could return to their respective homes and rebuild their lives.
Blaming one another will not bring any solution, he said.
It is high time for politicians and intellectuals to sit together and explore ways to resolve the crisis, he added.
