A public meeting organised by the JAC against the missing of Maibam Avinash and Ningthoujam Anthony at Akham Lampak on Sunday has adopted six resolutions including the public physically tracing the teenagers in case authority concerned fail to locate their whereabouts.
Of the six resolutions, the first resolution said legal help would be sought at both national and international level to find the whereabouts of the two teenagers who have been missing till date; the second resolution called for forming a joint JAC and staging protest in collaboration with different student bodies of the state; third for the people to unite and work together under a single agenda with regard to the on-going conflict; fourth to urge the masses to launch intense agitation to make Avinash and Anthony's disappearance the last missing case of its kind in the state; the fifth resolution urged for the authority concerned to find the two missing teenagers within seven days, failing which the JAC along with CSOs, political parties, student bodies and women organisations will take the matter of physically finding the two teenagers into their own hands; and the six resolution called for all CSOs, Meira Paibis, political parties, student bodies and the people to work together for preventing any further violence in the state.
