Bandh supporters torch 2 vehicles

One DI Tata mini truck was set ablaze by suspected UNC bandh supporters on Saturday morning around 10.30 in Sencham village area under Sapermeina Police Station along National Highway 37.Police sources said that the vehicle was returning towards Imphal after unloading goods at Noney.
When the vehicle reached Sencham village area, a group of suspected UNC bandh supporters stopped the vehicle and poured petrol all over it and then set it on fire.
Police have recovered the damaged mini truck.
Kangpokpi: Meanwhile, on the last day of the United Naga Council sponsored 48-hour highway bandh, another vehicle was burnt down along National Highway 37 (Imphal-Jiribam road) on Saturday morning at around 10 am.
Sources said that some bandh supporters stopped the Tata Xenon car bearing registration number AS01-GC-1700 near Konglong Namthanjang area and set ablaze it.
The vehicle was heading towards Imphal from Jiribam when the incident occurred.
