UNLF condoles demise of KYKL cadres

The United National Liberation Front (UNLF) led by Koireng and its armed wing Manipur People's Army (MPA) have condoled the demise of two KYKL cadres in a fire-fight with the 'enemy 'along the Manipur-Myanmar border on November 22.Extending revolutionary honour to the martyrs, a statement of Central Committee of the Koireng led UNLF said that captain Moirangthem Uttam alias Tamba (42), son of late Moirangthem Krishnamani of Pallel Mamang Leikai, Kakching district and corporal Ningthoujam Kokoba alias Mangaal (28), son of Ningthoujam Kumar and Gandhamani of Sarik Mamang Leikai, Kakching district of Meeyamgee Yawol Lanmee (MYL), the armed wing of KYKL, were killed in an ambush by Indian forces backed Kuki terrorists.
Both Tamba and Mangaal were part of a combined force of revolutionaries fighting to restore the lost sovereignty of Manipur which was on a mission along Indo-Myanmar when they were ambushed by Kuki terrorists on November 22 .
The two MYL fighters were killed in the ambush, the Central Committee statement forwarded by its publicity secretary M Shak-Hen informed.
According to the statement, both captain Tamba and corporal Mangaal had all the characteristics of becoming revolutionary leaders and had high discipline, courage, dutiful and dedicated to the causes of the people.
Their demise left a huge vacuum in the journey of revolutionary struggle to restore the lost sovereignty of Manipur, the statement said, while sharing pain and grief of their bereaved families as well as KYKL's .
