3rd MNCA Super Plate Tournament : YWC-L beat PCC by 7 wickets, KCC thump AKSDO in top of table affairs

KCC-Kongba defeated AKSDO-Khangabok by 7 wickets to round off their league campaign unbeaten as YWC-L overwhelmed PCC- Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi to dislodged the later from pole position in top of the table affairs of the 3rd MNCA Super Plate Tournament.
At Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College Ground, Group A runaway leaders KCC handed AKSDO the second loss in the tournament leaving chances open for Blue Hawk (currently third) and MPSC (currently fourth), who still got a match each to play, to qualify for the knock-out round (semis) .

AKSDO won the toss and chose to bat first.
Riding on an unbeaten half century from M Chinglensana (119-ball 66) and L Winchelly's 44-ball 43, they piled up 147 runs for 3 in allotted 35 overs.
KCC however found the target too little as K Mranojit smacked a sensible 62-ball 64 to take the team to winning 148 in 24.1 overs with 7 wickets left to spare.
M Rohen also contributed a significant 35 off 27 balls as Th Momocha scored an unbeaten 25 off 31 balls to finish off the chase.
Earlier in the AKSDO innings, Y Sheiteendra (1/15 in 7 overs that include 3 maiden) and W Somorjit (1/24 in 7 overs) picked a wicket apiece while L Nungshiba (2/35 in 7 overs) and L Rohit (1/23 in 3 overs) were among the wickets for AKSDO.
K Mranojit who top-scored for KCC was adjudged man of the match.
Meanwhile in the top of the Group B table contest staged at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, YWC-L eased past PCC by 100 runs thanks to Vivek's exceptional 4 wicket haul in a spell of 8 overs.
Bikramjit (68-ball 52) and Prasantamani (47-ball 65) had a memorable day with the bat to guide YWC-L, who won the toss and opted to bat first, to a commanding total of 236 runs for 9 wickets in 40 overs.
YWC-L then bowled out PCC for 136 runs in 37.2 overs as Vivek (4/30 in 8 overs), Subash (2/18 in 6 overs) and Bishwash (2/21 in 6.2 overs) were in their best forms.
Vikash 34, Gibson 26, Ronald 21 and Bobby 16 were the main run getters for PCC before they slumped to their first loss in their tournament.
Earlier in YWC-L's innings, Anand (2/30), Rohit (2/45) and Ronald (2/68) shared 6 wickets among themselves.
Vivek of YWC-L was eventually named man of the match.
With the result, YWC-L and PCC emerged Group winners and runners and qualified for the semi-finals.
