DMU bids farewell to retiring VC

Principals, teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the constituent colleges of Dhanamanjuri University (DMU) on Saturday organised a farewell programme for the retiring vice chancellor of DMU N Rajmuhon Singh at the auditorium of DM College of Commerce, here.
The event was attended by DMU vice chancellor N Rajmuhon Singh, LMS Law College former principal Salatur Rahman, DM College of Arts former principal Ch Sheelaramani, GP Women's College former principal Rk Tamphasana, DM College Arts former principal Ranjana Rk, DM College of commerce principal and controller of examination A Nabachandra, DM College principal Hijam Romi Devi, DMU registrar Nevidita Lairenlakpam and DMU finance officer K Binku as presidium members.
During the programme, N Rajmuhon said that he expressed hope that DMU would become one of the best universities in the entire nation in the near future and encouraged all concerned to work together with relentless spirit for the university to reach new height.
He said that DMU has been producing many prominent personalities since it was a college.
He urged the authorities concerned to fill in the vacant positions at the five constituent colleges of QMU, so that the university can function smoothly and provide the needful services to the students.
"The 21st century is known as the knowledge century and innovation comes from knowledge.
Human resource and human capital are important for the development of a country.
Let us all work for Manipur to be a part of the nation's goal to be a knowledge super-power by 2047 which is India's 100th year of independence, as per the NEP 2020.We must never forget that simplicity, patience and hard-work are out strongest weapons," he said.
As part of the programme, N Rajmuhon was presented with a life-size photo, memento and gifts in appreciation of his many contributions to the university.
