Schools organise social services camps

Heeding to the clarion call of the All Tribal Students' Union Manipur, many educational institutions within Kangpokpi District, like many others in the hill districts of the State, took up cleanliness drive and organised social services camp in their respective schools.
ATSUM education secretary, Kakai Singsit said that the students' body had issued a clarion call to all the schools in the hill districts of Manipur to organize and conduct social service in line with the World Environment Day on June 5."It is also an attempt to put collective concerted effort for the future of our children and grand-children by making our planet greener, safer, cleaner and beautiful place to live in," he said.
While inspecting schools within Kangpokpi yesterday we witnessed most of the schools conducting cleanliness drive and social services camps, he said.
While expressing gratitude to all the schools who heeded to the clarion call of ATSUM, Kakai Singsit said that the cooperation and support of all the schools will not go in vain.
This will definitely pioneer the spirit of preservation and protecting our planet earth, he said.
