CM to brief Centre on JAC's strike, ADC poll

Chief Minister O Ibobi's visit to New Delhi which was scheduled to leave Imphal today has been deferred till tomorrow, an official source said.
Ibobi's visit has been deferred due to the cancellation of the flight (Indigo Flight) which he was scheduled to take off.
On the other hand, sources said that government has prepared an action taken report along with the future actions chalk out by the government to deal with the twin issues ahead of the state, cease work strike of the employees and protest against holding of elections to the Autonomous District Councils (ADCs) of hill district.
Government is likely to take up stern actions against the striking and agitating groups, hinted the source referring to the reports to be tabled by the Chief Minister to the Prime Minister's Office and Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
After the announced that the elections to the ADCs will be held as per scheduled and will be completed by the first week of June at late, the Chief Minister will table government preparation of the ADC election to the Union Home Ministry, seeking an action taken report on the objections coming up to the conduct of the poll.
On the other hand, the cease work strike of the JAC of AMTUC and AMGEO has entered 100 days today said a statement of the striking body criticizing the state government remaining unmoved instead of fulfilling the demand of the employees and trying to spread propagandas to take the employees in the wrong sense.
The employees are demanding the wages of those working days not begging extra money from the government.
The view that are keeping towards the employees are wrong, the statement signed by L Priyobartta, secretary publicity and information.
The 13th Finance Commission had awarded enough funds to the government for the payment of pending arrears of the employees.
The JAC has been pressing the government to fulfill their 14 points demand which among other includes the clearance of long pending TA and DA of the employees.
Other demands includes regularization of long sufferer ad-hoc employees master roll employees in various departments of the government, rectification of pay anomalies, revival of die-in hardness scheme by lifting the ban on it, enforcement of a service rule for the home guard employees and payment of salaries suited time etc., the statement added.
