38 Myanmarese nationals deported

Altogether 38 Myanmarese nationals, who had been lodged at the foreigners' detention centre of Sajiwa jail for several years after arrest for entering Manipur illegally, have been handed over to the Myanmarese authority on Tuesday.
The deported Myanmarese include six children, 11 women and 21 men.
They were putting up at the foreigners' detention centre after arrest under different sections of IPC including Foreigners' Act before relocation to the Key Location Point (KLP) of 5 Assam Rifles near Moreh since June 9 after their jail term expired.
All of them were handed over to Myanmar authority by crossing the Indo-Myanmar friendship bridge around 9am on Tuesday.
Indian officials led by SDO Moreh Ijaz Hussain, officials of immigration office Moreh staff, Moreh police and 5AR handed over the foreign nationals to officials of the Myanmar immigration office safe and sound.
Notably, many Myanmar nationals who crossed over to Manipur due to the unrest situation in the neighbouring country had been deported after communicating with Myanmar authority.
Several Myanmar army personnel who crossed into Mizoram were also been handed over to Myanmar authority safely through Moreh.
