Imphal, March 02 2024:
Relief Committee JNIMS on Saturday appealed to people of the state to extend financial assistance for the kidney transplant of one Laishram Deviya, an internally displaced person from Leimaram village in Bishnupur district.
According to the Relief Committee, Deviya has been undergoing treatment for kidney ailment since May 24 at JNIMS with her father also passing away during her hospitalisation period.
Informing that due to deterioration of health condition she is in dire need for transplantation of both kidneys, the Committee commended JNIMS director Laishram Deben for providing Rs 40,000 for the kidney patient.
However, as adequate fund is necessary for transplantation of the kidneys, the girl patient and her family are pinning hope on generous donation by the public, said the Committee adding that donors may contact Deviya's mother Laishram Sanatombi.
