Wins for LCCC, KCC in KHMD T-20 Cricket Tournament

Imphal, March 02 2024: LCCC (Lilong Chajing) and KCC (Kongba) emerged the victors in their respective league matches of the 1st Khomdram Hijam Mema Devi Memorial T-20 Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground on Saturday.

LCCC outplayed YUCC by 57 runs.

LCCC opted to bat and posted a total of 144/6 courtesy of Krishna (46 not out), Rakesh (34), Pratap (21) and Rustum (11) .

They then bowled out their opponents in 18 overs for 87 to secure a dominant win.

In their triumph, Jinta was the star performer with a haul of 5 wickets as Krishna picked up 2 wickets, with Akbar, Ashok and Saphaba each taking one wicket.

In YUCC's run chase, only Noushad (33) and Bidison (15) got into double figures.

Earlier, Somorjit, Noushad and Manikumar took 2 wickets each for the losing side.

Later in the day, KCC beat UCC by 30 runs.

Deciding to bat, KCC made 147/8 as Robertson contributed significantly with a knock of 75, followed by Devkanta (19) and Bishorjit (15 not out) .

UCC fell short in their reply, stalling on 117/6 despite facing the complete 20 overs.

Fighting efforts from Jugalkishore (33) and Nandakumar (31) were not enough for UCC.

For KCC, Sanjoy claimed 3 scalps while Robertson grabbed 2 wickets and Devkanta bagged one in their victory.
