143 Bn CRPF conducts civic action programme

143 Battalion CRPF conducted a civic action programme today at Mother's International School, Kanglatongbi wherein sports articles and uniforms were distributed to Chundiram Youth Club, Kanglatongbi specially those youths who hailed from poor families.
The sports articles were distributed to promote sports in Manipur and to motivate the youths to participate in events thereby contributing in the process of Nation building, said a press release 143 Bn CRPF.
Y Nandakishore Singh, Second-in-Command 143 Bn CRPF graced the occasion as the chief guest and distributed the items in the presence of K Angambou, Assistant Commandant 143 Bn CRPF; Jurist Abonmai, founder of Mother's International School; Mairingambou captain and coach MIS FC, players of Chundiram Youth Club and school teachers and children.

Y Nandakishore Singh expressed happiness on getting the opportunity to fulfil the long withstanding need of the sports club and stated that he will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
This will also help in close connection with the civil population and synergy can be maintained between security forces and the civilians, he added.
He further maintained that under the civic action programme, 143 Bn CRPF has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals.
The clubs thanked the 143 Bn CRPF for providing them a means of support to improve their sporting spirit.
