CRPF distributes sports items, uniforms

Imphal, March 02 2024: 143 Battalion CRPF on Saturday conducted civic action programme at Mother's International School, Kanglatongbi in Imphal West district during which sports items and uniforms were handed to Chundiram Youth Club, Kanglatongbi.

As chief guest of the programme, battalion's second-in-command Y Nandakishore Singh distributed the sports articles in the presence assistant commandant K Angambou, School founder Jurist Abonmai, MIS FC coach and captain, Chundiram Youth Club players, school teachers and students.

Delivering his speech, Y Nandakishore expressed happiness on getting the opportunity to fulfil the long standing need of the Sport club and assured that the unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.

The officer also expressed confidence that the initiative will help promote cordial relationship with the civil population and synergy maintained between security force and civilians.

Y Nandakishore further pointed out that under the civic action programme, 143 Bn CRPF has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals.

The club received the sports articles with joy and thanked the Battalion for providing them a means to support to improve their sports sprit, informed a battalion release.
