Imphal, October 21 2014 :
All India Students' Federation (AISF) Manipur State Council organised a one-day deliberation session on academic problems at Manipur Press Club today.

Around 13000 students do not get admission in Manipur University every year as the number of students who pass out from different colleges affiliated to the varsity is around 15,000, he added.
In order to give admission to these remaining students, the Government must seriously consider the points like opening a new University and upgradation of DM College to the status of a deemed University etc, he added.

Dr Opendro also urged the authority concerned to make the varsity a fully residential institute to solve the problems faced by the students hailing from interior areas.
