Namrata Rai wins THE ONE solo competition

"THE ONE", a singing competition that has captured the hearts of Senapati, reached its pinnacle on Saturday evening with Namrata Rai of Mount Everest College crowned the winner, while Lhingboikim Haokip from Don Bosco College Maram (A) wrested the runner-up title.
The grand event held at St Xavier College, Maram Khunou, featured a distinguished panel of judges, captivating guest artistes, and a spectacular performance by the 16 AR Band, making it a musical extravaganza.
Alobo Naga, Seyievinuo Chuzho, James Riamei, and Pahrii Pairson, all well-known figures in the music industry, provided their expertise in the jury panel.
The event was further enriched by guest artistes like Imnainla Jamir, Alobo Naga, Senti, and Hopong from Nagaland with mesmerising performances, inspiring both participants and the audience.
Diana Mangkang, a promising local artiste, showcased her incredible talent, earning admiration from the audience.
Local talents from Senapati also had the opportunity to shine, with several budding stars receiving well-deserved applause.
Winner Namrata Rai's powerful and emotive voice deeply impressed the judges and the audience, leaving a lasting impact.
Holding the trophy high, Namrata expressed her gratitude, saying, "This is a dream come true, and I am immensely thankful to 'THE ONE' for this incredible opportunity".
Lhingboikim Haokip, who garnered widespread acclaim for her captivating performances throughout the competition said: "I am grateful for the support and encouragement I have received on this journey.
