Imphal, June 13 2023: Of the 11 persons who sustained bullet injuries in indiscriminate firing by Kuki militants yesterday at Khamenlok, one has been discharged from hospital today and the conditions of two are said to be critical.

One of the critically wounded persons is on ventilation at Raj Medicity's Intensive Care Unit, said doctors.

According to the hospital, he was first admitted at JNIMS Hospital, Porompat with multiple bullet injuries on his chest and back.

He was referred and brought to Raj Medicity at midnight.

He is under observation and requires surgery.

The operation (surgery) is likely to be conducted tomorrow, said doctors.

While surgery was conducted on a 19-year old youth, his condition is being observed and is under ventilation in the ICU.

He had sustained bullet injuries on his neck.

Further, surgeries on other bullet injured persons were conducted successfully at the hospital and one of them has been discharged, said the doctors.
