Rural Technology Park in the offing

Chief Minister Okram Ibobi has said that the State Government is planning to set up a Rural Technology Park in the State.
He was replying to a query raised by MLA Th Shyamkumar during the Question Hour of the second sitting of 7th Session of 10th Manipur Legislative Assembly here today.
Ibobi further said that the site for the park is yet to be finalized.
A senior consultant from National Institute of Rural Development would soon visit the State to chalk our plans for the project.
Upon a query on Right to Education (RTE), Education Minister M Okendro said that students from Class I to VI under Sarva Shikshya Abhiyan (SSA) are being provided free textbooks under the funding from Ministry of HRD.
Replying to a question asked by MLA L Nandakumar, Works Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar said that there is no provision for repairing the road leading to Langol Housing Complex and also there is no caretaker for the Government quarters located inside the housing complex.
Responding to MLA Samuel Risom's query on funds allocated to hill districts, Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said that appropriated funds have been allocated for taking up various projects in the hill districts during the current financial year 2013-14 .
To another query of Samuel Risom, Education Minister Okendro replied that construction of residential schools in some districts have been completed while the remaining schools in other districts are also being targeted to compete within a short period.
