Governor encourages youth to acquire IT knowledge

Kakching, February 25 2014 :
"Knowledge does not flow only from the written or printed words but also from the internet where the knowledge is at our finger tips", Vinod Kumar Duggal, Governor of Manipur, has observed while speaking as Chief Guest of inaugurating the building of Library Development Youth Association at Elangkhanpokpi in Thoubal District today.
The Governor further observed that the world has become a very small village today because of the internet connectivity.
So, this part of IT (Information Technology) is something that we have looked at and inspired the young people.

While appreciating the people of the area for their contribution towards construction of the building, the Governor maintained that it speaks of the desire of the villagers to acquire more knowledge.
The Function was also attended by Prof Dr..LTombi Singh, Head of Department of Economics, Manipur University and Prof.H.N.K.Sarma, Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University as the Guest of Honour and Functional President respectively.
The newly inaugurated building of the Library Development Youth Association, Elangkhangpokpi has been constructed with funding from Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata and donation from public at a total estimated cost of Rs 9.5 Lacs.
