Inviting public statement on Sapam Robinhood death case

Imphal, August 17 2015:
Justice Mutum Bijoykumar Singh, Commission of Inquiry into the incident leading to the death of Sapam Robinhood Singh after sustaining injury during police action on July 8 informed the general public that the Venue of recording public statements will be shifted to State Guest House, Sanjenthong, Imphal Room No 212 from Room No 402 of Hotel Classic Imphal on August 19 .
In a press release, JMBSCM, Secretary Y Rajen appealed all the responsible department of Government, interested organisations (official/non-official), Associations, individual persons who have knowledge of the fact relating or relevant to the matter under the inquiry are requested to submit statement on affidavit slating all the relevant facts which are within their knowledge along with suggestion or measures if any to prevent recurrence of such incident in future.
The commission said the statement on affidavit are to be submitted either personally or through an advocate duly authorised or by speed/registered post with acknowledgment so as to reach the undersigned in the address given below during all working days on or before August 31 along with four extra copies.
The statement on affidavit should preferably be written in English Language.
If the statement is written in any other language other than English, it should be accompanied by an English rendering copy thereof, duly authenticated by a first class magistrate or an advocate or class gazetted officers of the state government.
In case, the deponent intends to rely on other documentary evidences in support of the statement of affidavit, a list of documents to be relied upon along with the original or attested true copies of such documents should be furnished along with the statement on affidavit.
If the documents to be relied upon are not in possession, a statement should be filed disclosing the names and addresses of the persons from whom such documents may be procured or requisitioned by the commission.
The deponent are required to file along with his/her affidavit a list of witnesses with full particulars and addresses in support of the statement on affidavit, indicating briefly, the facts on which the witness is expected to depose, if examined before the commission.
