Malom body clarifies

Malom Number One Student Club has refuted the claim made by Kuki Khanglai Laungpi (KKL) .
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, club secretary Robert Maibam said that KKL's claim of damaging ambulance and blocking them was false.
People enforced bandh in democratic way at Malom on August 14, he said and added they neither burned tyres nor blocked movement of emergency services and religious activities.
He further said that they however stopped an ambulance which transported passengers with luggage three times.
After the driver was enquired why he was misusing the ambulance, he tendered apology.
After the apology, bandh supporters allowed the ambulance to proceed but never manhandled the driver, the secretary clarified.
Saying that what the driver had claimed was totally false and baseless, Robert said that the driver must clarify the matter on the media.
Chaokhat Thourang Nupi Lup, Malom secretary S Sanahanbi was also present at the press conference.
